1. Will you be doing a PDF sale?
No, I will NOT be doing a PDF sale. Thank you so much for the interest! There’s a lot of reasons for this, the main one being that I’m giving the artists full agency to do whatever they please with their comics now that pre-orders are done. Whether that’s monetizing, posting, sharing, or doing whatever they want - it’s their decision! All artists can post their comics online once fulfillment is over. So just have patience! You’ll see the comics one way or another. :D
2. Will you be doing another print run?
At this point in time, no. Picture this: I am one (1) person mailing 200 orders from my desk and this is a P4P passion project. It would be irresponsible of me to consider another run until I’ve completely fulfilled my current orders. It’s going to take a lot of time and money and effort on my behalf. To protect both my own well-being and the integrity of this project, I cannot promise any more print runs.
3. When are the books going to be shipped out?
Ideally, I’ll start mailing out at the end of May. Realistically, with the drastic swell of orders I got, it’s going to be rolling well into June, maybe even July! The books won’t be going into print until April. Honestly, I had planned to order them towards the end of the planned pre-order period anyhow. The response to this project is truly unprecedented! I’m honoured (and a little scared tbh!).
4. I’m going to TCAF and/or VanCAF! Where should I go if I want a copy?
I’ll be seated with “Fruit Salad Comics” with 30-50 copies for each show. I will post more information on my twitter @softandworm when I know my table location at either event. You can also check out @stripeyworm for more updates. Christine Wong will also be selling 50 copies of “Another Peak” at TCAF. You can find her info through her social media @OneChrispy.
5. Is the P4P price available indefinitely?
The P4P price is ONLY for pre-orders. All artists have full rights to sell the physical comic at whatever price they wish. Artists put time and effort into selling books in person. When you buy a copy from them face-to-face, you’re directly supporting them. There wasn’t a feasible way arrange that with online pre-orders without it being unfair, hence why this pre-order was P4P.
6. Where can I get all project updates?
On my twitter @softandworm! I am most active there. :D I will also generally be a dweeb there, so I apologize if it gets lost in the sauce. I will also update this website with any updates if I can so it’s easy to find the info in one place.
7. Will you ever sell your mini HuaLian and BingQiu zines online?
No, sorry. Those are for in person sales only. I do not like dealing with an online store. This project is already a LOT on my plate, and it was a single item. I apologize! I’m honoured so many people want them. I do sell them at conventions (yes – TCAF & VanCAF this year), so if you want them, you can ask a friend to grab ‘em for you.
8. I might change addresses by the time you ship (June/July/August)! What should I do?
Contact me ASAP with your Order Number with the name you placed it under at [email protected]. We can change your shipping address, no problem. I highly encourage you to pick a stable address that’ll last till the end of the year.
9. Will I be notified of when my order is shipped?
Unfortunately no, because Big Cartel won’t let me. I may look into a plan that allows me to notify you, but we’ll have to see! I haven’t gotten to that yet… stay tuned and check @softandworm for updates. I'll update as I order in batches.
10. Are the orders tracked?
Haven’t started shipping yet but the service I’ll be using, ChitChats, does include tracking. I believe it’s only visible from my end though. Once I know more I’ll update this page. For now though, you’ll probably have to email me for tracking info.
11. I have more questions? What should I do?
